Zoom Immersive View: Zoom Provided This Feature to Bring Participants Together in A Virtual Room

Having a new virtual background for your Zoom calls might be a refreshing change of pace. Virtually placed in the same virtual space, you, your coworkers, friends and family members will appear to be sitting next to one another rather than miles apart.

Up to 25 people can be accommodated in a single meeting area using the Immersive View function. Groups, even in virtual form, congregate in a stunning way, regardless of whether it makes you feel more connected to people or not.

It was during the epidemic that Zoom’s use soared, becoming the video chat software of choice for millions of individuals.

The advent of Zoom also brought with it the concepts of Zoom fatigue, or the exhaustion of spending hours on video chat, and Zoom anxiety, or the tension that comes along with these sessions.

A number of features have been added to Zoom in order to assist companies prepare for the hybrid office of the future.

In a rare instance where another video chat platform came out with a feature before Zoom, Zoom’s Immersive View is very similar to Microsoft Teams’ Together Mode.

Zoom’s Immersive View: A Quick Tutorial

First, if you’re hosting a meeting or webinar, open up the Zoom app on your computer (it will be enabled by default for all free and single pro accounts using Zoom 5.6.3 or higher).

The option to enable Immersive View may be found in the upper right corner, just below Speaker and Gallery View. Then select “Immersive View.”

Make your meeting participants feel at home by selecting one of Zoom’s pre-made meeting scenes. To accommodate large gatherings of people, there are a variety of layouts to choose from. Alternatively, you may create your own.

Unless they’re using an older version of Zoom, in which case they’ll view meeting participants in either Gallery or Speaker View with a black background, everyone in your meeting or webinar will now have the same virtual background. Moving and resizing participants is also an option for hosts.

Any additional attendees will be shown as a thumbnail strip on top of the shared scene if your meeting has more than 25 participants.

Immersive view recordings are currently unavailable; instead, they will display in either the Gallery or Speaker layouts.
