Zoom’s Immersive View: A Quick Tutorial
First, if you’re hosting a meeting or webinar, open up the Zoom app on your computer (it will be enabled by default for all free and single pro accounts using Zoom 5.6.3 or higher).
The option to enable Immersive View may be found in the upper right corner, just below Speaker and Gallery View. Then select “Immersive View.”
Make your meeting participants feel at home by selecting one of Zoom’s pre-made meeting scenes. To accommodate large gatherings of people, there are a variety of layouts to choose from. Alternatively, you may create your own.
Unless they’re using an older version of Zoom, in which case they’ll view meeting participants in either Gallery or Speaker View with a black background, everyone in your meeting or webinar will now have the same virtual background. Moving and resizing participants is also an option for hosts.
Any additional attendees will be shown as a thumbnail strip on top of the shared scene if your meeting has more than 25 participants.
Immersive view recordings are currently unavailable; instead, they will display in either the Gallery or Speaker layouts.
