Video-sharing website An automated system is now in place on YouTube that may detect any copyright violations and ad-related restrictions before the videos are published.
Ad money can now be earned more quickly and easily with the use of a new tool called ‘Checks’.
In order to avoid takedowns or claims of ad revenue by copyright holders, the new tool checks uploaded videos for copyrighted content, as well as for violations of advertising guidelines.

YouTube hopes to reduce the number of “yellow icons” artists see in this way.
Content ID is a key component of this new system. According to YouTube, if a video scan reveals a copyright breach, the policy of the video’s rights holder will be immediately implemented.
As a result, the video may be completely restricted or the video’s rights owner may decide to monetize it instead.
The YouTuber posting the video will receive a notice via Checks if the Content ID matches the content in the creator’s video to another rights holder.
The creators can see what they can do if a copyright claim is identified by selecting ‘See details.’
If a problem with the video’s ad-suitability is discovered, the option to ‘Request review’ will be available.
After all, copyright claims can be made even when the creator does not believe they are infringing on anyone’s rights.
The accusation will be disputed by the creator before it is published, thanks to YouTube’s dispute feature.
Due to the time it takes for claims to be processed, YouTubers have the option of uploading their videos before or after the dispute has been resolved.
If the creator is found not to have used copyrighted content, ad income collected during that time is given to the person who brought the claim.
The ad money is paid to the rights holder if the dispute is settled in their favor.
