Users of Apple’s iPhone and iPad from all over the world will soon be able to take advantage of the video streaming application’s popular Picture-in-Picture (PiP) function on their devices.
Users are able to continue watching videos even while using other applications on the device. Although the feature has been accessible through the YouTube app for Android for some years now, iOS-based devices are just now receiving access to it.
In June of last year, YouTube made the PiP mode available to Premium users in the United States who were using an iPhone or iPad.

However, the feature did not make it to iOS devices in any other regions. On the iPhone and iPad, users in the United States can still use the PiP feature for videos that are not music videos even without a Premium subscription.
With the Picture in Picture (PiP) capability, you can watch a video in a window that is far smaller than normal. This is likewise a floating window that may be adjusted according to the preferences of the user and moved about as well. It is also possible to close this window.
The second feature is quite helpful since it enables viewers to have other interactive apps open while they watch a video.
This is particularly useful for apps that need users to tap, slide, and long-press on their screens. On iOS devices, PiP is already supported by a large number of apps, including Netflix and Disney+Hotstar. In addition, the segment has been overdue for quite some time on YouTube.
You will be able to activate the PiP feature in the settings menu if you have a Premium membership and meet the requirements to use it. To enable Picture-in-Picture mode on the YouTube app, go to the Settings menu, then General, and tap the toggle button.
