Users of the desktop version of WhatsApp are apparently getting a test upgrade that allows them to request their account details. Android and iOS were the first platforms to offer the capability, which was designed to meet the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (GDPR).
In the current beta version of WhatsApp, the Request Account Info feature is believed to be accessible. The feature is now only available to beta testers, according to reports.

However, it was only available to users of WhatsApp for Android and iOS. The “Request Account Info on Desktop” function can only be accessed by users once they have updated their WhatsApp desktop beta to the newest version.
It was first discovered in development in the v2.2204.1 beta version but was not visible to testers at the time. However, according to a recent source, the feature may only be available to a select group of beta testers.
This functionality was made available for Android and iOS in 2018 as part of WhatsApp’s efforts to comply with EU GDPR regulations.
WhatsApp provides a three-day turnaround time for reports requested by its users. However, it’s possible that customers will have to wait a little longer before they can access the download link.
Information in the report may include but is not limited to, all activity, contact, and device information, as well as privacy settings.
