Some new features are apparently in the works for the Facebook-owned communication platform WhatsApp.
Several of WhatsApp’s beta programme features have caught my eye.
Here are five new features that will be added to WhatsApp in the near future:
The Ability to Record One’s Own Voice Is Included
A “global voice message player” is being developed by the messaging service, which will allow users to listen to voice messages even after they’ve exited a chat.
WabetaInfo claims that the latest update would keep voice messages at the top of the main app even if the user plays the message and exits the chat.
It is also working on the ability to halt a voice communication and then resume it without having to record another message or send the one you need to interrupt.
By clicking on the red icon, the user can begin and end the recording of the voice message.

New Privacy Settings
Using the new privacy options, you will be able to restrict who can see your last seen status, your profile picture, and you are about section.
“Everyone,” “My Contacts,” “My Contacts Except,” and “Nobody” is all options in the settings.
Under these three headings, WhatsApp currently offers three different levels of privacy protection.

Message Reaction Notification
Whatsapp is working on Facebook and Twitter-style Message Reactions, which let you respond to a message with emojis, stickers, or GIFs. This is something we already know.
The instant messaging service is now working on a feature that will notify users when someone responds to a message they’ve sent. Individual and group chats will be able to use the reaction feature.
It is possible to disable reaction notifications in the Notification Settings if you so desire.
Backup Feature

In addition, the company is said to be working on a new feature that will allow users to control the number of their chat backups and exclude specific items, such as documents and photographs, from their cloud backups.
Google Drive backups may be required for the feature to work on Android devices.
Redesigned Chat Bubbles
WhatsApp’s iOS beta users can now download the latest version of the app, version 2.21.200.11.
Chat bubbles have been redesigned as a result of the upgrade. The conversation bubbles in the beta version are now rounder, larger, and brighter than before.
