As of recently, all Googlers entering a US workplace must pass a weekly Covid-19 test.
Googlers will need to show that they have passed a drug test in order to gain access to the office.
Due to an increase in Omicron cases, Google had already delayed the mandatory return to the workplace date.
Google now requires all US-based employees to take a Covid-19 test every week before entering the office. Only personnel who have tested negative for Covid-19 will be permitted to enter Google offices.

The corporation also warned its workers of severe consequences if they did not follow the Covid-19 regulations.

Google has announced it will take temporary measures to improve employee health in an effort to slow the spread of the Covid virus.
A Google spokeswoman added, “To help prevent the further spread of COVID-19 during this period of heightened risk, we are adopting new temporary health and safety safeguards for anyone accessing our sites in the US.”
The company also announced that its employees, their dependents, and household members had access to free at-home testing in addition to free testing alternatives at its facilities.
Google had already postponed its return to the office and issued a strong warning for those employees who had not yet had their flu shots.
Employees who refuse to get vaccinated against Covid-19 will be disciplined financially and finally, let go from the search engine giant.
According to rumors, management sent out notes warning workers of potential repercussions if they choose to skip out on their vaccinations.
Google has requested that its staff members show proof of immunization by December 3rd, according to a memo acquired by CNBC.

Before December 3, workers may also request time off for personal reasons, such as health or religion. According to the memo, the business will personally contact those workers who have not provided proof of immunization when the deadline passes.

Workers who requested time off but were denied will also be notified that they must report for work.
If employees do not comply with the vaccination restrictions by January 18, Google will place them on “paid administrative leave” for 30 days.
After that, they’ll be placed on six months of “personal leave” without pay. Employees who refuse vaccination beyond this deadline will be required to resign.
