A Powerful Blocker Add-On for Many Browsers. Swift, Powerful, and Trim
uBlock Origin is a wide-spectrum blocker that can also serve as a simple “ad blocker,” but it is not an “ad blocker.” When uBlock Origin is first installed, its default action is to block advertisements, trackers, and malware websites using EasyList, EasyPrivacy, Peter Lowe’s ad/tracking/malware servers, the Online Malicious URL Blocklist, and uBlock Origin’s own filter lists.
Philosophy
uBlock Origin (also known as uBlock0) is a general-purpose blocker rather than an ad blocker. By supporting the Adblock Plus filter syntax, uBlock Origin prevents adverts from being displayed. The syntax is expanded by uBlock Origin, which is made to cooperate with unique rules and filters.
Additionally, the advanced mode enables uBlock Origin to operate in default-deny mode, which will automatically block any third-party network requests until the user explicitly authorizes them.
However, it’s crucial to understand that utilizing a blocker is NOT theft. Don’t be duped by this eerie notion. The intrinsic right to privacy is criminalized as the final logical result of blocking = theft.
Ads, whether they are considered “unintrusive,” are just the visible parts of privacy-invading technology that enter your browser when you visit the majority of websites today.
The major objective of uBlock Origin is to assist users in neutralizing such privacy-invading equipment in a way that is welcoming to those users who don’t want to employ more complicated, technological methods (such as matrix).
When you install uBlock Origin, the following lists are automatically enabled: EasyList, EasyPrivacy, Peter Lowe’s, Online Malicious URL Blocklist, and uBO’s own lists. Block trackers, analytics, and other tools have access to a large number of additional lists. Also supported are host files.
If you feel that uBlock Origin blocks too much after installation, you can quickly de-select any of the pre-selected filter lists. ABP filters, EasyList, and Acceptable Ads are the only features that are turned on by default when Adblock Plus is installed.

Free. Free software. Users for users. Not requesting donations.
This addon wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the pre-set lists of filters. Therefore, if you ever feel the urge to make a contribution, consider the individuals who have put a lot of effort into maintaining the filter lists you use and that are freely accessible to everyone.
