Big changes are coming to Telegram, including an increase in the number of viewers for group video conversations, the ability to record video messages in greater quality, and more.
After teasing the feature for over a year, Telegram finally enabled group video calls in June of this year.
Group Video Calls 2.0 is Telegram’s latest version, which significantly enhances the group video calling experience.
It’s Becoming Bigger: Telegram Group Video Calls
The number of people who can broadcast their video or share their screen during group video calls on Telegram is still capped at 30.
Telegram, on the other hand, is great for holding online lectures, workshops, and movie parties because it now allows up to 1,000 individuals to view a group video call.
Telegram has promised to keep expanding this restriction until “all humans on Earth can join one group call,” in a post on its blog.
As part of the current Telegram update, video messages are also getting an upgrade.
Messages can now be expanded and replayed in a greater resolution by tapping on a video message.
Audio from your phone or tablet will play while you are filming a video message. When recording a video message from the rear camera, you may now pinch to zoom in on the video by using your finger.
In addition, video messages can now be rewinded or fast-forwarded. Telegram’s media player supports playback rates of 0.5x, 1.5x, and 2x for video and voice playback.
The playback speed of Telegram for Android has been increased by 0.2x. To alter the speed of playback, simply hold down the 2x button on your media player while doing so.
It’s Screen Sharing Time for Telegram’s 1-On-1 Calls!
For one-on-one Telegram calls, screen sharing has been included. During a video call, you’ll be able to stream your device’s audio as well. Before you can begin screen sharing, you will get a video preview.
Auto-delete messages after one month, password recovery and reminders for accounts with 2fA enabled, new message sending animations for Android, and some animated new emoji are among the other new features coming to Telegram.
Additional functionality for Telegram for iOS is now available. For example, the native iPhone zoom levels of 0.5x and 2x are shown in Telegram’s in-app camera. You’ll also be able to bring up the zoom wheel by pressing and holding the zoom button.

Messages can now be forwarded to multiple recipients on iOS devices. Additionally, they can rapidly pick several chats for bulk operations by scrolling using two fingers in the chat list.
