A slew of new Lenovo products, including a dozen new laptops and ten new accessories and peripherals, will be unveiled in the run-up to CES 2023.
New Lenovo laptops, ranging from ThinkPads to IdeaPads, will begin appearing on store shelves (virtual or otherwise) in 2023. In addition to the laptops, the company expects to offer six new displays, an M9 tablet, a universal dock that is compatible with USB-C, two webcams, and a rechargeable keyboard and mouse combo in the spring. To be clear, not all of the new ThinkPad X1, IdeaPad Pro 5i, IdeaPad Slim 5i, and IdeaPad Slim 5 Gen. 8 models are headed for the United States.
Several components and packaging for the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11, ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3, and ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 8 are made from recycled materials. Plus, they use the Evo platform from Intel and are compatible with the Core i7 from Intel for a boost in performance. If you need even more memory, both the Carbon Gen 11 and the Yoga Gen 8 can support up to 64GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
The IdeaPad Pro 5i, Slim 5i, and Slim 5 Gen. 8 are all 16-inch devices that include either an AMD Ryzen or an Intel Core CPU, which Lenovo claims will deliver “faster performance.” Options with a fourteen-inch screen size do exist, but they aren’t currently available in the United States.

The built-in trackpad on the Pro 5i is considerably larger than on prior models, and the device is compatible with USB 4.0 and Thunderbolt 4.0, allowing for faster data transfers.
The Slim 5i’s 16-inch edition has a screen with a resolution of up to 2.5K, making for sharper visuals, and an infrared camera capable of Full High Definition. In addition, Lenovo claims that the Slim 5i’s Intel Core compatibility and the Slim 5 Gen. 8’s AMD Ryzen support would enhance the user’s ability to multitask.

Release dates for the new ThinkPad X1s have been set for April of 2023, with prices beginning at $1649 for the Nano Gen 3 and moving up from there. In May of 2023, you may purchase the 16-inch IdeaPad Slim 5i for $749.99, the 16-inch IdeaPad Slim 5 Gen. 8 for $649.99, and the 16-inch IdeaPad Pro 5i at $1499.99.
Another Chromebook, the Flex 3i, will be available in May at a starting price of $349.99. There are no other IdeaPad Pro or Slim 5i models scheduled for a release in the United States.
