Ios 15.4 Update: More New Features in This Version for iPhone and iPad users

New features have been added to iOS 15.4 for iPhones. Face ID can be used even while you’re wearing a mask, as can new emoji and Universal Control, which has been long overdue.

(iPadOS 15.4 provides access to all of these functionalities.) Since then, iOS 15.4.1, a minor iPhone update, has been released by Apple, which fixes a battery-draining flaw as well as certain security issues.

Apple’s iOS 15.4, released in September in conjunction with the iPhone 13, is the fourth major update to the operating system’s current version.

Apple’s iPhone operating system has seen a slew of updates since its initial release in December, the first of which was iOS 15.1. After iOS 15.3.1, which was issued to fix a security flaw in iPhones and iPads last month, iOS 15.4 was launched.

Do You Know when iOS 15.4 Will Be Available?

On March 14th, Apple launched iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4. Apple said that the new green iPhone 13, the alpine green iPhone 13 Pro, and the new iPhone SE all come with iOS 15.4.

Where Can I Get iOS 15.4?

You can download and install iOS 15.4 by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update > Download and Install.

Make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi before downloading the 15.4 updates to prevent eating up your monthly data allocation.

The Term “universal Control” Can Mean Several Different Things

If you have more than one Apple device, you can utilize Universal Control to move content between them all with the touch of a finger. The release of this much-anticipated feature was originally scheduled for MacOS Monterey, but it was postponed until “this spring.”

As part of the iOS 15.4 public beta, Universal Control launched alongside the Monterey OS 12.3 and iPadOS 15.4 updates.

Due to the beta nature of Universal Control, expect some hiccups from time to time. Please note that not all devices are compatible with the feature. It is claimed by Apple that Universal control is accessible on:

The MacBook Pro (2016 and later)

Apple’s MacBook (2016 and later)

It’s an Air MacBook (2018 and later)

Apple’s iMac (2017 and later)

iMac (5K Retina 27-inch, late 2015)

computer system Apple’s iMac Pro

Macintosh Pro (2018 and later)

Apple Macintosh Pro (2019)

The new iPad Pro

The new iPad Air (third generation and later)

Apple’s tablet computer is called the iPad (sixth generation and later)

a much more compact iPad mini (fifth generation and later)

Apple says that in order to use Universal Control, you must have an Apple ID “Two-factor authentication with the same Apple ID is required on both devices.

Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Handoff must all be enabled on both devices before they can be used wirelessly, and they must also be within 10 meters (30 feet) of one another.

Using a cellular or internet connection shared by both an iPad and a Mac is not recommended. Trust your Mac on the iPad to use over USB.”

Do Masks Interfere with Face Id?

Ios 15.4 Update

Face ID on the iPhone 12 and newer models can now be used with a mask, thanks to an update from Apple. If you want to make the most of Face ID’s accuracy, you’ll have to be more specific about the angle at which you hold your phone when utilizing the feature.

If you need to look closer at the screen, your phone will even let you know. People who use glasses should be able to use the new feature, but those who wear sunglasses will be unable to.

Were There Any Brand-New Emojis Included in This Update?

In iOS 15.4, you’ll find that the emojis are far more creative and interesting to utilize. Updated options for pregnant people, hands that form a heart shape, salutes, and lip-biting are just some of the 37 new possibilities in the update.

Along with melting and holding back tears, these images were first revealed last fall. Other images include coral and lotus flowers as well as low batteries and kidney beans.

More New Features in iOS 15.4

airbags, which have recently come under fire for allegedly being used to stalk people, will also get new safety features as part of the OS upgrade.

The emergency call shortcut “call with five presses” is now an option rather than a default setting in version 15.4, so you can decide whether or not to enable it. By default, the side and volume buttons can be held down and pressed.

It is no longer necessary to first start a SharePlay call and then launch the app to initiate a SharePlay call with some apps thanks to the recent modifications to SharePlay. As a result of this, expect to see this feature appear in more apps in the future.

When using Notes or Reminders, you may now take a photo of an object and then copy the text that appears on it. Additionally, an issue with recordings of Siri interactions has been addressed in iOS 15.4, according to ZDNet.
