Locate your misplaced AirPods
To view your AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max on a map and hear a sound that will help you find them, use Find My.
Find I can help you find your AirPods if you’ve already configured it on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac that you’re using. You can’t utilize Find Me to find your lost AirPods if you didn’t enable it before they disappeared.
You can only track or find a lost or missing device via Find My. Your device cannot be located, tracked, or otherwise flagged by any other Apple service. Discover how to configure Find My.
See a Map of Your AirPods
If you use the Find My app on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac that is logged in with the same Apple ID, you might be able to locate your lost or forgotten AirPods.
Find My App Allows You to See Your AirPods
Install the most recent version of macOS, iPad, or iOS.
Get the Find My app open.

Activate the Find my system

Open the Settings app on your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad.

Put Some Music on Your AirPods
You can play a sound to help you find your AirPods from iCloud.com or the Find My app if they are nearby and connected to Bluetooth:
Get the Find My app open.
Choosing the Devices tab.
Pick your AirPods from the available options.
To play a gradually loudening sound, press the Play Sound button.
To make your AirPods play a sound, use the Find My app.
Before you play a sound, be sure your AirPods are not in or on your ears.
Get Notified if You Forget Your AirPods
In order to prevent leaving your third-generation AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max in an unknowable place, if you have an iPhone 12 or later, you can set up separation alerts:
Get the Find My app open.
Select the AirPods you want to use under the Devices tab.
Select “Notify When Left Behind” from the Notifications menu.

If you forget your AirPods, play an alert using the Find My app.
Set your AirPods to Lost Mode.

For your AirPods (3rd generation), AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max, you can share a message with your phone number or email address when Lost Mode is activated.
On their iPhone, the person who finds your AirPods can view the message.
Activate Lost Mode
Open the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Select the AirPods you want to use under the Devices tab.
Choose Activate under Mark as Lost as you scroll down.
If you wish your contact information to appear for your misplaced AirPods, follow the onscreen instructions.
For your AirPods to enter Lost Mode, use the Find My app.
Choose Activate.

If the AirPods aren’t Working
You might get “No location discovered” or “Offline” if your AirPods are out of range or need to be charged.
Although you can’t play a sound to find them, you might be able to find out where they were last connected and obtain directions there.
You receive a notification on the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac that you use with them if they do decide to reconnect.

Get the serial number and then contact Apple Support for a replacement if you are still unable to locate your AirPods or charging case, or if something is broken. then get instructions on setting up a replacement.
