Due to the fact that darkened controls and windows blend into the backdrop while your content stands out in Dark Mode, it is simpler to stay concentrated on your task.
Enable the Dark Mode
Choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Appearance in the sidebar on macOS Ventura or later.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then select General in earlier versions of macOS.
Choose one of the following from the Appearance options at the window’s top:
Light: Adopt a Light Demeanor.
Use a dark appearance.
Auto: Automatically switch between the daytime look of light and the nighttime appearance of darkness.
How Apps Interact with Dark Mode
The system-wide Dark Mode employs a dark color scheme, which is compatible with all of your Mac’s apps. Other developers’ apps may also use it. When Dark Mode is activated, if an app doesn’t utilize a dark color scheme, it either doesn’t support Dark Mode or it has its own settings for interacting with Dark Mode or managing its color scheme.
