Facts to Consider

They should show up in your conversations if you’ve talked recently. Otherwise, you’ve probably been blocked.

If someone blocks you on Snapchat, you won’t be able to get their username or full name by doing a search.

Try looking for them using an account you have on a different gadget. You’ve been blocked if their name comes up in the search

You can confirm a Snapchat block by following these steps if you fear you’ve been blocked.

Ways to Find Out if You’re Blocked on Snapchat

Follow these steps to find out if someone has blocked you on Snapchat.
Check your recent conversations
.

Be sure to review your most recent communications. If you haven’t already, checking to see if the individual in question is in your chat history is a good first step in determining whether or not they have blocked you. This is only helpful if you had a conversation with the user who may have blocked you before clearing your Snapchat conversations.

Launch Snapchat on your device and head to the Chats section by selecting the speech bubble symbol that sits to the left of the camera snap button at the app’s bottom.

Your Chat list may not include the user you think blocked you, even if you just had a conversation with them. Yet, the block is not confirmed until you complete the next procedure.

On the other hand, you may have forgotten that you cleaned your history or not recently communicated with the user in question.

Search their username or full name

A Snapchat user who has blocked you will not appear in any search results involving the two of you. You can still discover them using a search, even if they’ve removed you from their Friends list.

It’s crucial to know that blocking on Snapchat is different than deletion. If you were blocked by another person, you would be unable to see their profile or interact with them in any manner.

Even if someone removed you as a friend, you’d still be able to find them in your Friends list and keep exchanging snaps with them. However, if they’ve set Snapchat so that only friends may message them, they could not get them.

If you suspect a user has blocked you, use the search bar (shown by a magnifying glass icon) at the top of the screen when viewing their conversations or snaps. If you know the username or full name of the person you wish to find, start typing their details.

If you know the user’s username, the search results will be more specific. While it’s possible that multiple individuals share the same complete name, each username is distinct. Also, while usernames are set in stone, full names are easily modifiable.

If you are still on the user’s Friends list, you will see them under that label in search results; if you were removed from their Friends list, you will see them under the Add Friends label.

The individual has either blocked you or deactivated their account if they don’t appear when you search for their precise username.

Search their username or full name from a different account.

If you still can’t discover the user you were looking for after the previous step, there’s a good chance they blocked you. If you look for the user with another account, you can see if their profile still exists. You can go one of two ways:

If you can’t find the user on your own account, have a friend do a search.
You can try to find them by signing out of your account and making a new one.

Compared to creating a brand new account, the first choice saves you time and effort. You can ask another Snapchat user who isn’t friends with the person you suspect blocked you.

This person can be a friend, relative, coworker, or other acquaintance. If you know the user’s username or complete name, you can ask them to search for them in this way.

You can sign out of Snapchat or get the app on a new mobile device to start a new account. To sign up, just click the “Sign Up” button.

When creating a Snapchat account, you’ll be prompted to enter your full name, date of birth, username, password, and phone number (or email address).

Now you may either tell a buddy how to do it or do it yourself with your new account. If you or your acquaintance are able to locate the desired user account, there is strong evidence that the person in question has blocked you.

If you’ve already tried them and it still hasn’t worked, your friend has probably deactivated their account.

If you’ve blocked someone on Snapchat in the past, you can always unblock them.
