In the hidden ending of High on Life, the player discovers Clugg and witnesses his execution at the hands of Dr. Gurgula. Afterward, this enigmatic person readily admits that he was behind the plague that exterminated the Gatlian race, and he’s not even sorry about it. The truth is that Gurgula takes the whole thing in stride. When it became clear that the Gatlians weren’t going to be useful, he abandoned them.
Gurgula continues by saying how unique the human mind is, but how average humans are as a race, before he teleports away. We need answers as to why Gurgula is conducting experiments on humans, as well as his previous experiments on Gatlians, and as to his future goals.
