A decade ago, when Steve Jobs first took the iPhone out of Apple’s bag of technological tricks, few of us recognized that the world had fundamentally changed when he declared that every so often a revolutionary product comes along that changes everything.

Jobs’ statements weren’t just empty platitudes; the product’s magic has been used for ten fruitful years. Along the way, it has changed the culture and upended other sectors.

It allowed users to perform any task with only a few taps on a screen and put computers into the pockets of billions of people.

The original iPhone included a 3.5-inch screen, a browser for mobile web browsing, and built-in apps for checking emails and getting directions.
