In line with past seasons’ changes to ritual vendors’ awards, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen updated Gunsmith rewards with a new advancement system. Banshee-44 can now provide Guardians with Ascendant Alloys and upgrade materials by disassembling things and completing bounties.
You should be aware of how Gunsmith Ranks function and the most effective ways to raise your reputation before deciding to sear your Vault for Gunsmith’s reputation.
The operation of the Gunsmith Rank system, all methods of rank advancement, all rewards associated with Gunsmith Ranks, and various farming techniques are covered in this tutorial to assist you to level this system as rapidly as possible.
How To Increase Your Gunsmith Rank
In Destiny 2, there are only two ways to raise your Gunsmith Rank:
finishing the daily Gunsmith challenges.
tearing things apart.
Let’s discuss how each strategy affects your overall ranking.
Daily Gunsmith Bounties
Banshee-44 offers four daily gunsmith bounties that, when finished, will increase your rank by 15 points. These bounties are very straightforward, requiring you to complete a specific amount of kills with a specific weapon or type of damage.
These prizes are per character and are refreshed daily. To finish these bounties quickly, we advise cultivating Moon Lost Sectors. Repeatable rewards do not advance your Gunsmith Rank.
Dismantling Items

In Destiny 2, disassembling armor and weapons advances your Gunsmith Rank somewhat. How much progress you make depends on how rare the object is that you disassemble:
Rares: +1 Gunsmith Rank advancement
Exceptional: +5 Gunsmith Rank advancement
Unusual: +5 Gunsmith Rank advancement
Exotic and legendary gear both promote advancement. The Gunsmith Rank does not advance when Ghost Shells, Ships, or Sparrows are disassembled.
You can make as much progress as you want by tearing down equipment. Consider emptying out your vault if you’re close to achieving a new Gunsmith rank and really need the prizes.

The Fastest Gunsmith Rank Farm
Unfortunately, the Gunsmith Rank doesn’t have a really quick farm. This progression system is the slowest of all the ones. Having said that, there are two methods you can employ to raise your Gunsmith Rank as quickly as possible:
farming daily rewards.
For reputation, farm objects to destroy.
Daily Bounty Farm
You’ll be finishing all four of Banshee’s daily quests on all three of your characters if the name didn’t already give it away. Start your character up, purchase all four of his bounties, and then carry them out. For the quickest completion of these bounties, we advise farming a Lost Sector. Turn in the rewards, switch to a different character, and do it again.
With this farm, you’ll progress by 180 Gunsmith ranks each day. Although it won’t take you long to level up Banshee to Legend rank, this is the fastest farm you can complete without using our second method.

Item Dismantle Farm
Glimmer and Legendary Shards are consumed by this farm. For this farm to be profitable, you’ll need 10,000 or more Legendary Shards.
Legendary Shards and Glimmer will be converted into Gunsmith Rank by you when you assemble and disassemble items from your collections tab. Beware: this uses a ridiculous amount of Legendary Shards.

You’ll need a weapon or piece of armor that can be reproduced from your collections in order for this farm to function. Accordingly, it must date from Year 1. For this farm, you can use the weapons and armor you buy from Devrim Kay (EDZ) or Failsafe (Nessus).
Before you can buy an armor piece from a certain vendor, raise your rank with each one. This should enable you to rebuild that item for Legendary Shards and Glimmer and unlock it in your collection.
Once you have a replicable object, go to the collections tab and create as many duplicates of it as you can. Once you’ve gained enough Gunsmith Rank or run out of supplies, disassemble them again. Think twice before attempting this farm;
if you’re not careful, it might soon deplete your entire supply of Legendary Shards. Recreating an item requires 10 Legendary Shards and 1,000 Glimmer. If you run out, Master Rahool at the Tower will sell you more Glimmer.
