Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, is preparing to develop a social networking app of his own.

According to a listing in the Apple App Store, Trump’s new media company plans to debut the social media app “Truth Social” on February 21.

A new social media platform called ‘Truth Social,’ which Reuters claims is a replacement for Twitter. The Trump Media and Technology Group will include it (TMTG).

On the day of the US President’s Day, it will be broadcast live on the internet. In spite of this, the product can be ordered for no cost.

According to the app’s example image, users will be able to follow other users and trend topics exactly like they can on Twitter.

On January 6, 2021, Trump supporters descended on the US Capitol, saying there had been electoral fraud in the presidential election of 2020.

There were allegations that Donald Trump had incited his supporters to take part in the attack.

Both Twitter and Facebook removed Trump from their platforms as a result of his behavior. Since then, Donald Trump has launched his own social media app.

On the one-year anniversary of the attack on the US Capitol, Vice President Joe Biden lashed out at Trump, warning that the false claims made by his predecessor could influence future elections.

TMTG and Apple did not respond to Reuters’ request for comment on Trump’s media venture. However, a person with knowledge of this topic has stated that the app will be released on February 21.

As soon as the app goes live, TMTG’s first phase of development is expected to be completed.

According to the company’s website, TMTG+, a video-on-demand service focused on entertainment, news, and podcasts will go live soon.

It will be available only to those who sign up for a monthly or annual subscription. A podcast network may be in the works for TMTG as well.

On the Digital World Acquisition stock price, TMTG is worth $5.3 billion (approximately Rs.39,430 crore).

After Reuters announced that the app had been added to the App Store, its price jumped by 20%.
