Since installing iOS 14 on my iPhone X last week, I’ve been unable to take my eyes and hands off the new widget customization.
There have been a lot of great iPhone home screen designs and photographs on iOS 14 that I’ve come across on my Twitter feed in the last few days.
On my iOS 14 home screen, I’d already changed a few things and colored in several widgets. iOS 14’s picture widget, on the other hand, is far superior to a simple photo gallery.
In order to add numerous photographs to the iOS 14 home screen, I performed some research and came upon a simple method.
Imagining a photo of your choice on your iPhone’s home screen? You can add more than one photo widget to iOS 14 to make your iPhone’s home screen more visually appealing, regardless of whether you want to use your newborn pictures or your favorite nature photographs.
Multiple Photos to iPhone’s IOs 14 Home Screen – how To Do It?
At the end of this article, there is a video tutorial that will walk you through the process.
Download “Widgetsmith” from the App Store.
Afterward, launch the app.
- Once the software has been launched, you will see a variety of widgets of various sizes (small, medium, and large). They are editable.
Choosing a pre-configured widget is the fourth step. Once you’ve selected a widget, you can customize it by tapping on it.
Step #5: Scroll down to the Custom section and select “Photo” to add an image.
At this point, tap on “Selected Photo” and select a photo from your gallery.
Next, select the image from your photo gallery and scroll to the bottom of the page to complete step seven.
In the widget area, you’ll now be able to see a newly inserted image. In order to save, simply click on it and then press Save in its upper-right corner.
To upload numerous small widget photos, touch “Add Small Widget” again. You may also select “Medium Widget” or “Large Widget.”
Adding numerous photographs to the Widgetsmith software is step #10. To activate the jiggle mode, long press anywhere on the Home Screen.
A Plus icon will appear in the upper-right area of your screen.
The Widgetsmith app may now be found under the widget area, so tap on it.
The Widgetsmith comes in three different sizes, so you may choose the one that best fits your needs (small, medium, and large). Tap “Add Widget” after selecting a size.
You’ll see it on your home screen when you’ve selected the size. To change the size of your home screen, you simply reactivate the jiggle mode.
It’s time to repeat the process to add a second photo of the same size from Widgetsmith to the home screen. Again, we’ve included a little widget.
Next, long-press the second widget of the same size and select “Edit Widget.”
To switch to a new image, tap “Widget” and then tap another image.
Add a Photo Widget on iPhone X
Long-press an empty spot on the iPhone home screen until your apps begin to vibrate.
In the upper-left corner, use the + button to add an item to your shopping list.
This shows up all of the widgets that are available for inclusion. The Photos Widget can be found by scrolling down the list or searching in the search bar at the top.
To add a widget, select Add Widget from the drop-down menu. There are three widget sizes to choose from.
The widget is positioned in the upper-left corner of the screen by default. Then tap Done in the upper right corner after you’ve moved it.
It’s important to remember that the widget is just another programme icon and that everything will be resized to fit it. It’s possible to add other widgets, such as Gmail and notification settings, using this method. Use this to quickly access your most frequently used applications.
Long-pressing and selecting Remove Widget can remove the widget from your home screen if you no longer want it. It’s never too late to add it back in.
Widgetsmith’s Photo Widget Can Be Changed Using This Method
Widgetsmith, a free programme that lets you modify your widgets, is another alternative. It comes with a slew of useful features, all of which are completely free.
For $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year, you may upgrade to the app’s premium edition and gain access to a wider selection of widgets.
The Widgetsmith App May Be Found on The App Store for IOs Devices.
The Widgetsmith app can be accessed by opening it. Small, medium and big app sizes are all included by default. Please scroll down and click on Add Small Widget.
As soon as you launch the app, it will begin the creation process. Widgets come in a variety of styles. Photo, Photo Album, Photo Date, Photo Day, etc. are all options.
The lock icon in the upper-right corner of a style indicates that it is a premium style. Choose an image from your computer’s hard drive.
Add photos by clicking on a photo and then selecting it.
Select the photo you wish to display by tapping Choose Photo and then tapping it. You can only select photographs from your phone’s built-in photo library.
Select “Back” in the upper-left corner of your screen.
In the top-right corner, click Save.
You can further personalize the widgets by altering their appearance. Having fun with Widgetsmith is the closest you can get to truly bespoke widgets, so give it a whirl.
The widget is now ready to be added to your home screen! As previously, select Widgetsmith > Small and then press Add Widget to begin the process.
Once you’ve placed the widget where you want it, press Done to complete the process. Custom photo displays are now possible thanks to this widget.
One of the most useful new features of the iPhone is widgets. On the bright side, you can also use widgets on a Mac! It’s still a work in progress when it comes to using widgets on the Apple Watch.
