Getting ERR_SPDY_PROTOCOL_ERROR page in Chrome Browser when you visit google domain site like Gmail, Youtube, Google+, Adsense, etc or while visiting some other website like Tumblr, Wikipedia, etc, you get the ERR_SPDY_PROTOCOL_ERROR page error. The restart or cleaning browser data doesn’t seem to fix the problem.
How To Fix ERR_SPDY_PROTOCOL_ERROR In Chrome Browser?
- Goto chrome://net-internals/#events&q=type:SPDY_SESSION%20is:active , just goto enter in the address bar or press the link.
- Click on the arrow at the top right corner, you will see a dropdown, Select “Flush Sockets” and check the page or website you having the issues with.
Still Having Issue?
Visit chrome://net-internals/#sockets visit this link and click on “Flush Socket Pools” to flush the sockets pools with store the data.
Note: Some antivirus, too cause this issue so try to exclude websites you having issues with or turn off the web protection feature.
In the case of Avast antivirus this will solve the problem, Open Avast GUI > Settings > Active Protection, click on Customize for ‘Web Shield’ and add website addresses one by one under ‘URLs to exclude:’ section.
